A basic set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks from kabuki paper for a model of the Swedish JAS-39D Gripen fighter (the two-seat version) in 1:48 scale. It is neither a kit nor a part of the aircraft but a modeling accessory that makes clean spraying of the frames of the glazed cockpit and other clear parts easier. The BASIC level covers the outer canopy frames and the clear parts. The outlines of the pieces follow the glazing of the Italeri 2664 and Mistercraft G200 kits.

The real subject

The JAS-39 Gripen is a Swedish light multirole fighter with a delta wing and a forward canard. The JAS-39D version is the two-seater, meant among other things for training as well as combat tasks. The aircraft is valued for its agility and low operating costs.
