A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks from kabuki paper (a thin Japanese masking paper), intended for a model of the Israeli F-16I Sufa fighter in 1:48 scale. It is neither a kit nor a part of the aircraft but a modeling accessory that makes clean spraying of the canopy frames and other clear parts easier. Compared with the basic set, the ADVANCED level also includes masks for the inside of the glazing, so the framing can be painted from both sides.

The real subject

The F-16I Sufa (storm) is the Israeli two-seat version of the F-16 fighter derived from Block 52+. It is marked by conformal fuel tanks along the spine of the fuselage and an enlarged dorsal fairing for Israeli avionics and electronic warfare systems. The machine is optimized for long-range strikes.

Use

• Lift the masks off the sheet carefully, lay them on the glazing and press them down.
• Cover the open areas inside the frames with masking tape or liquid mask.
• Spray the color of the frames and lift the masks off once dry.
• Kabuki paper adapts easily to curves and leaves no adhesive residue.
