A set of forty figures of British line infantry of the Napoleonic Wars in the 28 mm size, for the period of the years 1808 to 1815.
Responsibility details are not available.
In the years 1808 to 1815 the British line infantry formed the backbone of the army on the Iberian Peninsula as well as in the campaign that ended at Waterloo. The soldiers wore a red coat with facings in the color of the regiment, white crossbelts and trousers that appeared on campaign in gray as well as white. The main weapon was a flintlock musket complemented by a bayonet. The range stated also covers a change of headdress: the older cylindrical shako was replaced after 1812 by a shako with a taller front plate.
The set contains forty figures of British line infantry in the 28 mm size, that is in the most widespread size for historical tabletop games and smaller scenes. The number of figures is enough for several detachments, so a coherent unit can be built from a single package.
Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the figure and sand the traces of manufacture down with fine abrasive paper. Before painting, wash and degrease the figures so that the base coat holds. A proven procedure leads from a dark base through the red of the coat to the white crossbelts; apply the white in several thin layers, or it will fill in the detail. Faces and hands benefit from a dark glaze followed by brightening of the raised places. The recommended glue and the assembly procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The set is intended for players of historical tabletop games and for modelers who build scenes from the Napoleonic Wars. The large number of figures in one package makes it a good basis for the British side of the table.
Paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
