A replacement drive sprocket for a model of the Tiger II heavy tank, known among modelers as the King Tiger, in 1:35 scale. This is the early version of the sprocket with eighteen teeth, with a final drive included, that is the housing on the front of the hull in which the shaft of the sprocket is carried.
On a tracked vehicle the drive sprocket is visible from the side and from the front, and its teeth engage directly with the track links. It is precisely here that the shape in a boxed kit tends to be simplified, because it has to be made in two halves. The replacement part has the teeth and the hub worked out in depth, and once the track is fitted it holds up to a close look.
For modelers building a Tiger II in 1:35 scale who want the running gear finished even where the simplification shows most. The choice between the early and the late type of sprocket follows from which vehicle you are building; this set belongs to the early form. The assignment to a particular kit and the assembly procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The package holds only the parts of the drive sprocket and the final drive. A kit, tracks, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
