The PaK 40 of 7.5 cm caliber reached the units in 1942 and remained the main German anti-tank weapon until the end of the war. Over that time its production was simplified several times and the wheels on which the gun was moved changed as well. Early examples had a disc stamped from sheet metal, while later versions looked different, so it is precisely the wheel that gives away which part of production a gun comes from.

The set is intended for models of the PaK 40 from the early period of service and replaces the wheels from the kit, which often match a different type. The replacement parts keep an exact circular outline, have no joint of two halves, and the surface of the disc and the tire stays legible even once painted.
If the parts are not polystyrene, ordinary cement for plastic kits will not hold on them, so use super glue or epoxy. Cut excess material and traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder off so that the circular outline is preserved. Wash and degrease the wheels before painting. When seating them, watch that both wheels stand in one plane and that the carriage does not wobble. Base the painting on the difference between the disc in the color of the gun and a dark gray tire, then add scuffs at the edges and finally a layer of dust from the ground the gun traveled over.
For builders putting together an early PaK 40 from a period photograph who want the wheels in the right version too. Check the fit on the axle dry according to the instructions of your kit. The package holds the wheels. The gun kit, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
