A paint from the Gunze Mr.Color range in the shade of Soviet protective green, which military equipment carried as a single-color base coat. The designation 4BO belongs to exactly this green; the shade's name also gives the year 1947. It is a dark green with an olive tint that looks earthy and rather brownish next to the brighter greens of other armies.
A single-color green coat covered a large share of Soviet ground equipment — tanks, self-propelled guns, artillery tractors and trucks. Precisely because the surface is uniform, the result depends heavily on the work done after spraying: lighten the roofs and upper surfaces slightly, keep vertical walls darker, and unify the transitions with thin coats. The model then looks less like a tinted plastic shell and more like a machine standing in the sun.
Do a test spray on a scrap of plastic, not directly on the model; the shade darkens once dry and looks different on a large area than in the bottle. Coat the area with a gloss varnish before decals, then unify the surface with a matte one afterward.
The package contains only the paint. Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and the model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
