Mr.Color Spray IJN Gray (Mitsubishi) is a semi-gloss lacquer spray from Gunze (40 ml): the light gray of naval aircraft built by Mitsubishi, a key color for builders of the famous Zero.
Responsibility details are not available.
The aerosol version of the proven Mr.Color line from the Japanese maker Gunze. It is a lacquer, not an acrylic and not an enamel: it forms a thin, firm and durable film with a semi-gloss surface that matches the real appearance of combat aircraft skin. The shade stands for the light gray of Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) aircraft built by Mitsubishi.
The famous A6M Zero fighter was designed and built by Mitsubishi. The early versions carried an overall light gray cast, which this factory shade matches. The Mitsubishi gray differs from the grays of other makers, so anyone building a Zero or another Mitsubishi naval machine reaches for exactly this color to make the model match the subject.
For modelers building Japanese naval aircraft of the Second World War from Mitsubishi production, above all the early Zero, who want a historically faithful shade and a durable semi-gloss surface without needing an airbrush.
A lacquer spray. The solvent attacks plastic and is more aggressive than that of acrylics: work in a well-ventilated space or outdoors, use a respirator and protect the surroundings from the drifting mist. Flammable. Volume 40 ml.
