Mr.Color Spray S038 from Gunze is a matte lacquer aerosol with a volume of 40 ml in the Olive Drab shade - American army olive. It is the spray version of the Mr.Color paints, a ready coat without an airbrush and without thinning. The (2) marks a variant of the shade; the sister shade Olive Drab (1) from the same line comes in a semi-gloss form - together they cover different degrees of sheen of the same color. Note: it is a lacquer, not an acrylic paint - the solvent can attack sensitive plastic.

The real subject of the shade

Olive Drab was the basic covering color of American ground hardware and equipment during the Second World War and after it - tanks, trucks, guns. Real hardware was not glossy, which is why the matte (Flat) form is more realistic for military models and at the same time makes an ideal surface under weathering (dust, mud, washes and pigments hold better on matte).

Use

• Shake the can thoroughly for 1 to 2 minutes before use so that the pigment mixes through.
• Apply in thin coats from a distance of about 25 cm; a heavy coat from close up will cause runs.
• Spray in warm, dry conditions - in damp there is a risk of a white bloom on the surface.
• Watch out for decals: on a matte surface a decal silvers. First give the spot under the decal a local gloss coat, transfer the decal and then make the area matte again.
