Gunze Mr.Color Spray S077 Metallic Green – a metallic lacquer in a spray, 40 ml

Gunze Mr.Color Spray S077 Metallic Green is a ready-made metallic lacquer in an aerosol spray with a volume of 40 ml by the Japanese maker Gunze (GSI Creos). It is a metallic green with a fine metal sparkle, in the spirit of a metallic British Racing Green, ideal for custom finishes. It is laid down straight from the spray, with no need for an airbrush.

Use

• Shake the spray thoroughly for 1 to 2 minutes before use – with metallic paint especially, because the metal pigment settles at the bottom.
• Lay it down in thin, even coats from a distance of approximately 25 cm; blotches and transitions show up more with metallic paints than with ordinary ones, so spray evenly.
• You get the best metal sheen over a smooth, glossy surface; over a flat one the effect is lost.
• Lay metallic paint down at the very end – it is harder both to paint over and to mask.
• A tip for the candy effect: over a silver base and with a clear coat on top you get an even more saturated, deeper shade.

Who it is for

Suitable for modelers of custom cars (a metallic British Racing Green, for instance) and of mecha models, where strong metallic accents come in handy. To protect the metallic paint and deepen the sheen, a clear coat on top is the recommended course.

A safety note: Mr.Color Spray is a lacquer that attacks plastic – lay it down in thin coats. The product is flammable, work in a well-ventilated space, use a respirator and spray in dry conditions (damp causes a white haze).
