Gunze Mr.Color Spray S078 Black Metallic (lacquer aerosol, 40 ml)

A lacquer spray from the Mr.Color range by the Japanese brand Gunze. This is not a flat black; it is a metallic black with fine metal particles that give a deep, dark gunmetal shine. The package is a 40 ml pressurized can and the paint is sprayed straight from the aerosol, with no airbrush and no compressor needed.

Use

• Shake thoroughly for 1 to 2 minutes before use, as the metal pigment settles to the bottom and the shade would be uneven without mixing.
• Spray thin, even coats from a distance of about 25 cm; several light coats are better than one thick one.
• It comes out best on a smooth, finely sanded surface, as a metallic otherwise emphasizes every scratch.
• Metallic paints are harder to overspray and to mask, so apply them at the very end of the build.
• Suitable for custom bodywork, motorcycles, mecha and gunmetal parts where you want a dark metal shine. The resulting finish can be deepened further with a clear coat.

Mr.Color is a lacquer, and the solvent can attack bare plastic, so spray in thin coats. Work only in a well-ventilated space or outdoors and wear a respirator. Flammable; do not spray near an open flame. In damp or cold conditions the surface may blush.
