S111 Character Flesh (1) - (Semi Gloss) Spray

Mr.Color Spray S111 Character Flesh (1) – a semi-gloss flesh tone (Gunze / Mr.Hobby), 40 ml

A semi-gloss lacquer spray (aerosol) by the Japanese brand Gunze Mr.Hobby with a volume of 40 ml in a flesh (skin) shade. It is a lacquer ready for immediate application that needs neither an airbrush nor a compressor. Character Flesh is a skin color for figures and anime characters – in a spray it serves as a fast base for skin over larger areas, that is, the whole body of a figure, the arms and the legs, where a brush would drag and leave streaks.

Watch out – skin is not one color. This number (1) is one of two flesh shades of the range; Character Flesh (2) is available as well. The two shades are used together: with one you make the base, with the other you shade and bring out the undertones so that the skin does not look flat.

Use

• Shake for 1 to 2 minutes before spraying (there is a mixing ball inside), otherwise the paint sprays thin and unevenly.
• Lay down thin coats from a distance of roughly 25 cm; a heavy coat runs and forms orange peel. Rather more thin passes than one heavy one.
• Spray in warm, dry conditions – in cold and damp a milky haze appears on the lacquer.
• It is a lacquer that attacks plastic – proceed carefully on thin and clear parts and test on a hidden area first.
• The details of the face (the eyes, the lips, the shadows, the blush) are finished with a brush – the spray is only the base for the skin, it cannot manage fine detail.

Who it is for

For builders of figures, of collectors' busts and for modelers of anime characters who want a fast and even base for skin. The second flesh shade Character Flesh (2) for shading, skin colors for the brush for the details of the face and a flat or semi-gloss varnish for evening the surface out make good companions.

Lacquer vapors – use only in a well-ventilated space and with a respirator. The aerosol is flammable, keep it away from flame and heat. The spray is not suited to fine detail, to areas it is.
