Mini chains replace coarsely cast plastic chains or add details that are missing from the base kit. They suit tow and securing chains, cargo lashings, hatch stays, chains on tank filler caps or small additions on dioramas. The metal version looks more realistic and shapes better than plastic.
Cut the chain to the length you need, shape it into a natural sag and attach it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). For better paint adhesion, degrease the metal and coat it with a primer made for metal; final toning and pigments will add a patina.
