SG-17 Gundam Color Spray Titans Blue 2 - Gunze

A lacquer aerosol spray in the lighter blue Titans Blue 2 from the Gundam Color range (Mr.Hobby) by the Japanese brand Gunze. The shade is mixed as the factory color of the robots of the Titans faction, so it is applied straight from the can without thinning, without mixing and without an airbrush. It dries to a semi-gloss surface. It is a solvent-based lacquer.

The color and the real subject

The Titans were the elite and notorious strike force of the Earth Federation in the Gundam world (the Zeta Gundam series). Their robots wore a characteristic dark blue two-tone camouflage made up of two shades of blue. The Gundam Color range therefore offers a pair of colors: Titans Blue 1 (SG-16, the darker one) and Titans Blue 2 (SG-17, the lighter one). Anyone building robots in Titans colors (the Gundam Mk-II in Titans markings, the GM Quel or the Hazel, for example) usually needs both shades - this lighter one for the light surfaces and the darker SG-16 for the dark areas of the camouflage.

Use

• Shake the can thoroughly before use and during work.
• Spray in thin coats from a distance of approximately 25 to 30 cm; light applications protect bare plastic from being attacked.
• Work in warm, dry conditions.
• For the two-tone effect, combine it with the darker SG-16 Titans Blue 1 and separate the areas with masking.
• Acrylic paints can be applied over dried lacquer; the other way around does not hold.

Who it is for

For builders of Gunpla who want faithful colors for the robots of the Titans faction without an airbrush. For the complete two-tone camouflage the darker SG-16 Titans Blue 1 is needed as well.

A solvent-based lacquer - highly flammable, and the container is under pressure. Spray in a well-ventilated area or outdoors and use a respirator with a filter against organic vapors. Keep out of the reach of children.
