A set of Vallejo acrylic paints from the Game Color line offered under the designation Specialist. Shades of one line can be mixed freely with one another.
Responsibility details are not available.
Game Color is a water-based acrylic line which Vallejo put together for figures for tabletop games and for fantasy subjects. This item is a set offered under the designation Specialist. Buying a whole set has the advantage over assembling individual bottles that the shades come from the same line, have the same binder and fineness of pigment and can be mixed with one another without the risk of the resulting tone going wrong. The composition of the set is stated on the box.
Shake the bottle before use, as the pigment settles while standing. Apply the paint in thin coats and let each one dry; a single heavy coat will cover the relief of a figure and leave the marks of the brush. It thins with water or with a thinner for acrylic paints, added in small amounts. On smooth plastic the paint holds badly without an evening-out ground, so start with the ground.
For longer sessions prepare a wet palette, on which the paint does not dry and a mixed tone will last the whole sitting. Create highlights and shadows by gradually mixing neighboring shades, not by passing over with a sharp boundary. Protect a finished figure with varnish; figures for play are handled and an unprotected acrylic surface is rubbed off. Rinse the brush out straight after work, as dried paint is hard to get out of the bristles.
For painters of figures who want to extend their palette with a complete selection instead of individual bottles. Figures, brushes and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
