SCN125 stainless nippers are Japanese nippers 125 mm long with a flat flush cut and jaws of stainless steel.
Responsibility details are not available.
Japanese-made nippers with an overall length of 125 millimeters. The jaws are of stainless steel and have a flat flush cut, that is, one side of the jaw is straight and the cut therefore stays almost level with the material. It is a medium size that sits well in the hand and at the same time reaches in between the parts on a sprue.
Ordinary nippers have both sides of the jaw ground to a wedge and squash the material to both sides. A flat flush cut means that one side is straight, so it can be laid directly against the part and the cut end stays smooth. Only a minimum of stub is then left to level off and the plastic does not turn white at the cut so much. That is exactly why this type is sought after in modeling.
Separate a part from the sprue in two goes: first a cut a little away from the part, then a second cut flush. Always turn the straight side of the jaw toward the part, not toward the sprue. Keep stainless nippers for plastic and soft metals; steel wire and guitar strings do not belong on them. Wipe them after work with paints and chemicals; stainless does not rust easily, but deposits build up on the jaws and keep them from closing.
