A modeling publication devoted to German armor, the first volume of the TANKART series, in its third edition. It serves as a visual and written reference when building and painting models.
Responsibility details are not available.
TANKART 1 German Armor is a modeling book about German armor. The numeral in the title marks the first volume of the TANKART series, and the note about the third edition means that the title has been reissued, not that this is a further volume of the series. The item is a publication, not a kit to build.
Modeling literature fills two roles at once. The first is visual: the illustrations serve as a reference for shape, surface breakdown and the placement of equipment on a particular vehicle. The second is practical: the text guides you through building and painting and shows why a given approach is chosen. With German armor both are useful, because the same type changed during production and even a small difference in fit decides whether the finished model matches the real vehicle.
It pays to go through it before the build starts. The illustrations guide the choice of vehicle version, of colors and of the degree of wear, and those decisions are hard to change on a half-built model. While you work, leave it open on the bench and compare the model with it as you go. Keep the paper away from solvents, thinners and wet brushes.
For builders of armor who want a reference at hand and do not want to hunt for it online, and for collectors of modeling literature who are completing the series volume by volume.
The publication is sold separately. Kits, paints, tools and other modeling supplies do not come with it, unless stated otherwise.
