Responsibility details are not available.
Teerschwarz NATO is the black paint that forms the third component of the standard camouflage of the vehicles of the NATO armies. On vehicles it goes on in irregular patches over the green base and the brown fields, where it breaks up the outline and the shadows. The area of black is the smallest of the three colors, yet it decides all the more about the fidelity of the result, because it is the black that gives the pattern its contrast.
The paint belongs to the Gunze Mr.Color line, carried under the code C521. The thinner and the thinning ratio follow the manufacturer instructions on the packaging; use the thinner intended for this line, as another solvent may curdle the finish or dull it. Stir the bottle well before use, because dark pigments are particularly ready to settle at the bottom.
Black is treacherous on a model: in small scale a pure black looks too hard and swallows detail. Lay it on lightly, therefore, and preferably in several coats, so that the surface texture stays visible through it. Spray the camouflage patches at reduced pressure from a shorter distance and mask any sharp edges. When painting with a brush work in thin coats and let each one dry. A flat clear coat will pull the finished paintwork together, and dust and edge wear hold better on it.
The thinner, brushes, masks and airbrush are not included, unless stated otherwise.
