A purple metal in the base version. On flat areas it holds a darkly saturated tone, in the shadows it passes almost into black and when the model is tilted it lights up coldly.

Celestial Violet belongs among the shades with which the angle of view decides. Head on it looks dark and concentrated; once the model is tilted it brightens into a cool, slightly bluish purple. The base level of the range is laid onto a part continuously and prepares the tone on which you then build the relief; on its own it gives an even metal surface that does not yet play into lights and shadows anywhere.
Purple pigments belong among those that tend to cover less well. On a black ground the shade therefore comes out darker and saturates more slowly; on a gray one it takes on brightness faster but loses part of its depth. It pays, then, to choose one variant and to keep to it over the whole model, or it will happen that one part acts saturated and the one next to it faded. In the hollows the paint lays itself down more densely by nature and darkens to the impression of black, which plays in favor of the relief.
It stands out most on large continuous areas of armor, on the wings of fantastic machines and on parts that are meant to act ceremonial rather than worn. If the model reckons with abrasions and dirt, reckon with a metal ground absorbing part of the effect. The supplementary levels for shadow and light are separate products and have to be obtained apart if you want a transition finished from the darkest hollow to the lightest edge. When all you want is an even colored metal with no modeling, this single bottle will do and you can leave the rest to the shape of the part, because that divides the shadows and lights up to a point by itself.
