Vallejo True Metallic Metal BASE - Ruby Red

Ruby Red is a base metallic tone from the True Metallic Metal (TMM) line by Vallejo. It is a water-thinnable acrylic with a fine metal pigment that gives the surface the look of a saturated ruby red metal alloy. The TMM line is systematic: every color family contains a BASE tone (full coverage), a LiGHT lightener, a satin non-metallic SHADE and an airbrush variant. BASE is the carrying layer of the metal effect. The package holds 18 ml.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use - the metal pigment settles to the bottom.
• The best effect comes on a smooth, dark surface, ideally over a black or dark primer.
• Applied with a brush as well as an airbrush; thinned with water or with a Vallejo acrylic thinner.
• Apply metallic paints toward the end of the work - they are harder to mask and to overspray.
• The metal effect can be deepened with the LiGHT lightener and the satin SHADE from the same family.
