Crimson Magenta in the light grade of the True Metallic Metal metallic system: a purple metal with a pink cast for sheens and transitions.
Responsibility details are not available.
A purple with a pink cast represents one of the shades by which the metallic system escapes the usual notion of metal. It is not aimed at steel or bronze but at an anodized surface, at pearlescent paint and at the fantastic materials that appear on elven armor or on instruments from other worlds. The bottle carries the light grade, that is, the tone intended for the places of highest brightness.
Every shade of the system also exists as a set that gathers its grades together. For one figure, where the purple metal makes up only a buckle or a trim, it makes sense to take this single bottle. As soon as you are planning a whole suit of armor, a unit of several models or repeated painting of the same material, though, a set brings the complete range from shadow to sheen and you do not have to work the transitions out by mixing.
For anyone who wants to get to know the system broadly, there are still larger assortments bringing several shades together at once, a case with the whole range included.
Working with the paint calls for thorough stirring and thin coats; a thick application suppresses the metallic impression and the surface coarsens. It proves useful to work with a small amount on the palette and to top it up as you go, because the pigment thickens quickly in the air. Rinse the brush out as soon as you have finished the stroke, as dried metal particles come free of bristles with difficulty.
