Vallejo True Metallic Metal Light - Rusty Metal (a metallic acrylic paint)

A water-thinnable acrylic metallic paint from the True Metallic Metal line, with very fine metal pigments and a realistic sheen at figure scale. The Rusty Metal shade is a warm rusty brown-orange metal, and this Light version is its lighter variant for brightening. In the Base-Shade-Light system, Light plays the role of the lightening tone on edges and lit places, while the base color covers the area. The paint is non-toxic, odorless, thinned with water and comes in a dropper bottle of 18 ml.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use to mix the metal pigment through.
• Apply with a brush onto a smooth prepared surface; it covers over a black as well as a white undercoat.
• Use it as the lightening tone on the edges and highlights of rusty and aged metals.
• Apply metallic paints toward the end; they are harder to mask and to overspray.
• Once thinned with water it can be sprayed with an airbrush too; the line has a separate airbrush version for spraying.
