UK Light Mud 17ml

Vallejo Model Air UK Light Mud, 17 ml

A covering water-based acrylic paint from the Model Air range. The shade is a light muddy brown, slightly yellowish, that is a tone suited as a base for dusty and muddy equipment as well as a component of desert camouflage schemes. Although the paint is already thinned to a sprayable consistency, it is a full covering color, not a medium for effects.

Thinning and what to thin with

• As it comes, the paint is sprayed without thinning. Thinning becomes worthwhile only for fine misting and soft transitions.
• As a thinner use distilled water or the manufacturer's thinner intended for acrylics. Thinners for lacquers and enamels would curdle the binder.
• Tap water containing calcium can cause the pigment to precipitate, which makes distilled water the more reliable choice.
• Thin roughly drop by drop and keep testing on scrap. Over-thinned paint runs and loses coverage, so proceed carefully.
• When the paint in an opened bottle thickens over time, the answer is a few drops of thinner and thorough stirring, not higher pressure in the gun.

Who the paint is for

It will be appreciated by modelers of ground equipment and dioramas who need a light earth color as a base under dust and mud. It can also be used as a tone for lightened panels in modulation, because it goes well with the other shades of the same range and can be mixed with them without trouble.

A water-based acrylic paint. Spray with ventilation and with respiratory protection. Keep out of the reach of children, protect from frost and store the bottle closed.
