An American truck with a gunnery training turret is a kit of unusual training equipment in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of an American all-wheel-drive truck with a payload of one and a half tons, converted into a mobile gunnery range, in 1:72 scale. On the bed sits a rotating gun turret in which bomber crews learned to shoot on the move. It is one of the least usual vehicles to appear in the modeling range. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Training aerial gunners was a fundamental problem in the Second World War: the gunner had to hit a moving target from a moving platform, which is hard to imitate on the ground. One of the solutions was a truck with a turret mounted on it, which drove around a range while the gunner in the turret aimed at targets. The basis was an ordinary army all-wheel-drive truck, tens of thousands of which served throughout the war on the most varied tasks.
In 1:72 scale the parts are small, so work with tweezers and over the box. Finish and paint the cab and the turret separately, and only then join the assembly. The glazing of the turret is the most conspicuous part of this vehicle, so handle the clear parts only after painting and glue them with a cement that does not fog plastic. Training equipment tended to be maintained, so do not overdo the wear; dust in the wheel wells and a light wash into the panel lines are enough.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
