War Dogs - 3D printed figures of dogs, 9 pieces

A set of nine pieces of 3D printed figures of dogs. It is not a kit of a vehicle and not diorama material, but supplementary figures that are added to a main scene. In a scene a dog is a rewarding element, because it carries movement: an animal in mid-stride or with its head lowered gives a static group of characters direction and suggests what is going on in the scene. For a modeler it is also good practice in painting fur, because on a small area the difference between a flat coat of paint and a layered texture is visible.

Building and painting

• Look the castings over, remove the remains of the supports and level the area under the paws, so that a figure stands on the surface without rocking.
• Tails, ears and thin legs are the most fragile places; handle the parts with tweezers and do not twist them.
• They are glued with super glue, that is with cyanoacrylate. Cement for polystyrene models does not take on printed parts.
• A thin primer before painting is practically necessary with a smooth printed surface, otherwise the acrylic comes off during handling.
• Build the fur with a dark base, then a dry brush in the direction of the hair and finally spot highlights on the back and the head.
• Paint the harnesses, collars and straps only after the fur, as small detail is easier to finish off on a completed area.

For diorama and figure modelers who want to add movement and scale to a scene, and for modelers who collect supplementary figures in reserve. Nine pieces in one package are enough for several separate scenes.

The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
