A white compound that turns transparent while drying. It is applied to a finished and completely dry sheet of water and it can do what poured surfaces cannot: stand water up vertically and set it in motion. A waterfall, a rapid, a bow wave and the swirl behind a ship's propeller arise by shaping the gel with a spatula, a toothpick or just the tip of a brush.
The decisive property is that it keeps the relief that has been modeled. The compound does not sink back into a plane, and even so it stays slightly yielding once it has dried, so the tip of a wave does not fall off at the first touch. The color is at the same time the sign of finished work: as long as the layer is clouded the drying goes on, while a clear surface means the end.
The same gel will serve for icicles under a gutter, for an icy crust by a bank and for frozen trickles in ruts. The manufacturer advises applying it to perfectly dry poured water, whether it is a clear resin surface, melted granulate or deep poured water from its range. The material is non-toxic and the package holds 8 fluid ounces, that is 236 milliliters.
It is applied in layers, because a thick application dries for a long time and may stay milky in the middle. The tools are cleaned with water while the compound is damp.
