A paint set from the IONIC range with the Real Heavy Metal theme in a worn metal register. Shades for surfaces that are to look used, not new.
Responsibility details are not available.
A paint set from the IONIC range listed under the Real Heavy Metal theme. The designation Worn Metal names the color theme: metal that has seen service. The shades of the set follow on from the darkest shadow to a light accent, so an area can be both shaded and lightened without buying further paints. It is not a single bottle but a group of colors chosen so that they go together.
Worn metal sits on everything that gets used: blades and barrels, armor plate, tools, machine parts, bindings and the metal accessories of figures. It also comes into its own on the larger areas of vehicles, where it is to be obvious at first glance that the machine is not straight from the factory.
Shake the bottle properly before use, as the pigment of metallic shades settles at the bottom and without shaking the paint covers unevenly. Apply in thin coats and let each one dry. The impression of wear rests on the difference between a dark shade settled in the hollows and a light one kept on the exposed edges that a hand or the ground touches most often. Choose the thinner intended for this range; the thinning ratio follows the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. Unify the surface in advance with a base coat, as metallic shades follow faithfully whatever is beneath them.
For modelers and figure painters who want the scale of one metallic theme together instead of mixing it bottle by bottle. The paints are applied with a brush; for spraying, thinning according to the manufacturer's instructions is needed. The set serves for painting, and the model, brushes and thinner are not supplied with it, unless stated otherwise.
