Tamiya X-27 Clear Red 10 ml (Tamiya)

Tamiya X-27 Clear Red is a clear red from the range of water-thinnable Tamiya acrylic paints. It comes in a bottle with a volume of 10 ml. It is a translucent shade — unlike an opaque red it lets light through and creates the effect of colored glass. Being in the X range means a gloss finish. The paint can be applied with a brush as well as an airbrush and thinned with Tamiya X-20A acrylic thinner.

Use

• Tinting transparent parts — tail and brake lights, indicators, reflectors.
• Creating the effect of red glass or translucent covers on cars, motorcycles and aircraft.
• Toning over a silver or chrome base for a realistic sheen of the lights.
• Thinned with X-20A; applied in several thin coats for a deeper shade.
