Even in small 1:72 a carrier film can spoil the effect, above all on the technical lettering scattered across a fuselage. 1:72 wet transfers sidestep the compromise, because the film is peeled once dry and only the print remains on the skin. Current sheets cover stencils for the MiG-21MF and the Liberator, plus markings for the Spitfire Mk.IX.
Sheets are made for specific mouldings from 1:72 aircraft model kits. If the technique is new to you, start with wet transfers for model aircraft, where the whole sequence from gloss base to peeling the film is described. Complete markings for other subjects come from 1:72 aircraft decals.
