This category is reserved for ready-built display pieces on space and science fiction themes — launch vehicles, probes, craft from film universes and machines that never existed anywhere but on screen. A model of this kind comes assembled and finished, so no paint and no tools come into it and the only question left is where on the shelf it goes. A finished piece arrives on its own stand and at whatever size its maker chose, so display space decides more than scale does. The same screen machines as kits, to paint and light yourself, are in Star Wars and Star Trek model kits, and the rest of the ready-built shelf, from airliners to motorcycles, in ready-built collectors models.
