Responsibility details are not available.
A set of thirty-eight unpainted figures of British infantry from the fighting in North Africa in 1940 to 1943, in 28 millimeter size. The figures are in hard plastic and are multi-part: bodies, heads, arms and weapons are glued separately, so you put the poses and the weapons together as you like. It means more work than with single-piece figures, but the result is a unit in which no two figures are the same.
The nickname Desert Rats was given to the British 7th Armoured Division and gradually passed to the whole Eighth Army, which fought in North Africa against Italian and German forces. The kit there was adapted to the heat: shorts, shirts with rolled-up sleeves and a light helmet. It is this mismatched look that sets the African theater apart from the European one and makes it a rewarding subject.
Separate the parts from the sprue with nippers at a distance and trim the rest with a knife. They are glued with ordinary modeling cement for polystyrene. Decide on the poses before gluing, as on multi-part figures the stance can be changed markedly. Apply a primer and build the sandy shades up in layers, then at the end add dust to the boots and the bottom of the trousers.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
