Responsibility details are not available.
A set of forty-two unpainted figures of US infantry of 1942 to 1945, in 28 millimeter size. The figures are in hard plastic and multi-part: bodies, heads, arms and weapons are glued separately, so you put the poses and the weapons together as you like. The large number of figures in one package means that a whole platoon can be built from a single box.
US infantry of the Second World War had an advantage over most of its opponents in the semi-automatic rifle issued as the standard weapon of the ordinary soldier. For a squad in close contact that meant markedly greater firepower in a short engagement. The kit changed during the war: from the early trousers and tunic to the later field jacket, a detail by which a figure can be dated.
Separate the parts from the sprue with nippers at a distance and trim the rest with a knife. They are glued with ordinary modeling cement for polystyrene. Decide on the poses before gluing, as on multi-part figures the stance can be changed markedly. Vary the olive shade of the uniform slightly between the soldiers and add wear at the knees and elbows.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
