Responsibility details are not available.
A set of forty-two unpainted figures of Zouave regiments of the American Civil War, in 28 millimeter size. The figures are in hard plastic and multi-part, so you put the poses and the weapons together as you like. The Zouaves are the colorful exception among Civil War units and on a table full of blue and gray coats they catch the eye at once.
The Zouave uniform comes from the French colonial units in North Africa and became a fashion in America even before the war. It consisted of a short jacket, baggy trousers and a fez or a turban, and it was strikingly colorful. The regiments that adopted it took pride in it and tried to live up to a reputation as elite units. It was worn by both sides of the conflict, so the set is not tied to the North alone.
Separate the parts from the sprue with nippers at a distance and trim the rest with a knife. They are glued with ordinary modeling cement for polystyrene. Apply a primer. Build the deep red of the trousers over a light base, or it will go dark. Pick out the trim patterns on the jacket with a fine brush at the very end.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
