It is not an aircraft model but an accessory. The set is cut to fit the P-51D Mustang kit in 1:35 scale from the maker Border Model and extends it with parts that the base box itself does not hold. Anyone who does not have the kit will not use the set on its own.
A finished model standing on a bare shelf looks like a component. Only a base, the surrounding elements and a hinted situation turn it into a scene that tells something. That is the direction accessory sets sold for individual kits aim in: they offer elements that a kit cannot hold on principle, because they would then have to be in every single copy, while not every modeler wants them.
Assemble and paint the accessories separately from the aircraft and join them only at the end, otherwise you will not reach the lower surfaces and the inner corners. Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic and any metal or photo-etched parts with super glue. Choose the colors so that the accessory does not shout the model itself down: more subdued tones and a fine patina leave the attention where it belongs. Lay everything out dry before gluing and try the arrangement.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
