Seat belts for the Lockheed Hudson Mk.III in 1:48 scale for the ICM kit. A separate set from the SPACE range without instrument panels.
Responsibility details are not available.
A separate set of seat belts from the SPACE range for the Lockheed Hudson Mk.III in 1:48 scale. This is not an airplane kit and, unlike the full SPACE set, it does not hold instrument panels. It deals only with the seat belts, that is, the feature most often missing on a model and the one that cannot be made out of plastic. The manufacturer has designated the set for the ICM kit.
The Hudson had a glazed cockpit from an airliner, so far more of the pilot's compartment is visible than on machines designed for combat. Empty seats then look unnatural. Belts give a cockpit its scale and suggest the presence of a crew even if you put no figure into the model. The fittings and the buckles are among the finest parts made in modeling at all.
Bend the belts over the edge of a ruler or a scalpel, tune the shape with tweezers and leave the ends hanging loose. Fix them with a tiny drop of super glue applied with a pin. A straight, taut belt looks artificial, while a slightly curved one looks natural. If you are painting a belt over, work in thin coats so that the fittings are not flooded.
The set is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. The ICM kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
