A plastic kit of the American F-15C Eagle fighter in a deliberately deformed, so-called egg form from AFV Club. The fuselage is shortened, the cockpit enlarged and the proportions shifted into a cute caricature, while the aircraft keeps all the recognizable marks of the real subject. The model is in no scale, which is normal in this category, and it goes together far faster than a classic kit.
The F-15 Eagle was designed as an air superiority fighter and in that role it is among the most successful aircraft in history. Its twin-engine design with an enormous wing gave it a performance that long had no competition, and the single-seat C version became the main variant of the US Air Force for the defense of its airspace. It is the silhouette of this machine that the egg kit shortens and rounds off.
The build is short and straightforward, so it makes a good model for one or two evenings, even for a child under supervision. The large cockpit takes more careful treatment, because it is the most visible thing on the finished model. The gray finish typical of American fighters can be brought to life with a fine emphasis of the panel lines. The external stores are better painted separately and fitted at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
