Responsibility details are not available.
A turned metal barrel for the 75 millimeter cannon of the American M24 Chaffee light tank in 1:35 scale, supplemented by an antenna base. The maker DEF Model combines aluminum and brass. This is not a vehicle kit but a replacement for a plastic part, and one where the difference tells at once: a metal barrel is perfectly straight, has a genuinely drilled muzzle and needs no lengthy cleanup of a parting line. The manufacturer has designated the set for the Tamiya kit.
The M24 Chaffee was an American light tank from the end of the Second World War, which replaced the obsolete Stuart. It was given a 75 millimeter cannon derived from an aircraft gun, that is, a weapon unusually powerful for so light a machine. The combination of decent firepower, low weight and good mobility made it a popular reconnaissance vehicle that served long after the war in the armies of a whole range of countries.
Metal does not bond with cement for plastic; use super glue or epoxy and let the joint cure properly. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer meant for metal, otherwise the paint will rub off while handling. Leave the muzzle of the barrel dark inside so that it keeps its depth. Fit the antenna base only after painting.
The set is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. The Tamiya kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
