Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of three figures of an American Second World War bomber crew in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Black Dog. The count of three figures is stated on the box. They are supplied unassembled and unpainted, and paints and glue are not included in the package. This is an accessory for a model or for an airfield scene, not an aircraft kit.
American bomber crews flew at great altitude, where the temperature fell far below zero, so their kit was bulky: fur-lined coats and trousers, leather helmets with goggles, oxygen masks and over it all a life vest and a parachute harness. It is this layered kit that makes a bomber crew figure such a rewarding modeling subject, because leather, fur, textile and webbing all come together on it.
Wash the resin in warm soapy water before painting and cut the casting blocks off with a saw. Paint the face from a dark base toward the light areas, and the eyes last of all. Do the fur trim with a dry brush over a dark base, finish the leather with a spot of sheen and leave the textile matte: it is exactly the difference in sheen between the materials that makes a figure convincing. Paint the figures before you place them with the model.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
