Three replacement synthetic tips for the handle of the Phoenix Plume system from the maker DSPIAE, in the flat version. Note that even though the word brush appears in the designation, this is not a finished brush: the handle with interchangeable tips is offered separately by the manufacturer. Without it the tips cannot be used. The manufacturer supplies three pieces in the package.
The version marked with the letter E is described as flat, that is with the fiber cut off to a width. A flat tip carries more paint than a round one and suits even coverage of a smaller area, a drybrush along the edges and glazes where a stroke without streaks is needed. A modeler can manage quick highlighting of rivets and panel joints with it as well, because the flat side rides over the surface and the paint stays only on the raised places.
The tip is fitted into the handle and secured without a tool, so the change takes a few seconds and can be done in the middle of painting. After the work rinse the tip out before the paint dries; dried acrylic in the heel of the fiber will open the tip up irreversibly. Do not leave the brush standing in a jar of water or of thinner and store the tips loose, without pressure on the fibers. The shape can be straightened between fingers moistened with water.
These are replacement tips. A handle, paints and other aids are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
