Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail accessory in 1:35 scale from the brand ELEFANT. It is not a tank kit but a frame for additional jerrycans welded onto the hull, in the version designated as pattern 2. Against the other versions of the same frame, the box states that the package also holds eleven jerrycans, so the set is enough for a finished scene with nothing more to buy. The subject is the machines of the 3rd SS Division Totenkopf from the fighting at Kharkov and Kursk in 1943.
The jerrycan, which the Germans introduced in the second half of the 1930s, was remarkably well thought out for its day: a pressed sheet-metal container for twenty liters, three handles for carrying by one man or by two and a lever closure that needed no tool. The Allies copied it and gave it the name jerrycan. On the Eastern Front range was what counted, so crews had frames for further jerrycans welded onto the hull; they were made in the field and each one was different, which is why the manufacturer distinguishes the individual patterns. The Ausf. M version was built from October 1942 to February 1943 in a number of around 250, had the 5 cm KwK 39 L/60 gun and wading equipment for driving through water.
Rinse the parts in warm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the edges while protecting your airways. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Spray the jerrycans separately and shade them differently on purpose - a stock in the field was never uniform. Then add a wash into the gaps, scuffed metal on the edges and dust pigment underneath.
The set holds add-on resin parts, not a whole tank. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
