The manufacturer gives six pieces: four rifles in the basic configuration, one with a rifle grenade fitted and one in a different configuration. The parts are produced by SLA printing at high resolution and are supplied unpainted.
The FAMAS is a French bullpup assault rifle in 5.56x45 mm, which the French Army introduced at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s. The F1 version has a prominent carrying handle with the gun sights above the barrel and a folding bipod; its shape earned it the nickname the bugle. In this form the weapon appears with French units in Europe and on overseas deployments through the following decades.
Wash the printed parts first in lukewarm water with a little dish soap and check that no print supports are left on them; cut those away carefully and smooth the surface with a file. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), as ordinary polystyrene cement does not hold on this material. Apply a primer before painting, then build up thin coats of acrylic and bring out the recesses with a wash. Protect your breathing while sanding and work wet.
The set is supplied unpainted and without a base kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
