The box holds eight different heads with the vz. 21 side cap in 1:72 scale. It is not a figure or a kit, but a replacement part: the head is swapped for the one from a plastic figure and the whole figure gains a different face and a different headgear. Eight different heads mean that nobody in a group of figures will be repeated. They are made by the Czech Firma49 by SLA, that is 3D printing from resin, and supplied unpainted.
The side cap is a folded field cap without a brim that belonged to the equipment of the Czechoslovak Army. The designation vz. 21 and the identification as a Czechoslovak side cap come from the manufacturer. The period attribution is not stated here; the set holds eight different heads with this cap and is intended for adding to Czechoslovak figures.
Before removing the print supports, drilling or cutting, the manufacturer recommends dipping the parts in hot water or warming them with a hair dryer: the resin softens, does not chip off and regains its original hardness once cool. The parts are then sanded and drilled as usual, glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and painted with ordinary modeling paints. The manufacturer recommends spraying a primer before painting. The head is best painted before it is set on the figure, and the neck shortened or drilled out to match the part it replaces. At 1:72 these are parts a few millimeters across, so they are painted more with shade and shadow than with drawn detail.
The set is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue, figures and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
