Although it is a smaller scale, the model surprises with its size as well as its level of detail. It offers optionally extended or retracted landing gear, an open or closed cargo ramp and a detailed cargo compartment.
The C-17A Globemaster III is a heavy tactical and strategic transport aircraft powered by four jet engines. It was designed to carry troops, vehicles and cargo over long distances while still being able to land on short and unpaved runways. It is in service with the US Air Force (USAF) and with a number of allied countries and is one of the pillars of modern military logistics.
Apply a primer to the plastic parts before painting, and an airbrush handles the final coat best. It pays to build the ramp and the cargo doors in the open position so that the detailed interior stands out. Use a thin modeling cement on the plastic and glue the clear parts (windows, cockpit) with a cement for clear parts so that they do not go dull. Apply the decals over a smooth gloss varnish and seal them with a matte overcoat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
