A sizeable plastic kit of the Soviet main battle tank T-72B in the large 1:16 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. The model has hundreds of parts, a hull and turret molded in several pieces, individual track links and photo-etched parts. In the large scale every detail stands out, and the finished model reaches a length of over 60 cm.
The T-72B is the modernized version of the proven Soviet tank T-72 of the nineteen eighties. It brought stronger armor protection of the turret, the ability to launch guided missiles through the gun and a more powerful engine. The T-72 ranks among the most widespread tanks of its generation and in various versions has served and still serves in dozens of armies all over the world.
The large scale makes demands on patience in assembling the tracks and the running gear, and the reward is impressive detail. Assemble and adjust the running gear before the hull is closed up, and use a thin cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush. The extensive surfaces are ideal for color modulation, washes and weathering with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
