The SAAB 2000 is a Swedish twin-engine turboprop airliner that came about by stretching and thoroughly reworking a smaller predecessor. The aim was to come close to the cruising speed of jets while keeping the economy of propeller propulsion. Only a few dozen were built, which makes it all the more interesting as a collector's subject today.
In 1:200 scale what matters most is a smooth surface, because every unevenness shows on the gloss finish of an airliner. Fill the seams with putty and sand them down carefully, and only then apply the primer. Spray the white of the fuselage with an airbrush in thin coats, otherwise it will fill the engraved detail. Apply the decals over a gloss base and finish with a clear coat that unifies the sheen of the whole fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
