About product

Airbus H145 ADAC in 1:32 scale (Revell)

A large, finely worked injection-molded kit of the modern twin-engined Airbus H145 rescue helicopter. The model in the attractive 1:32 scale measures roughly 36 cm once assembled and the rotor is about 34 cm in diameter. The decals allow the machine to be built in the colors of the German air rescue service ADAC Luftrettung (the yellow Christoph helicopters), or of the Swiss rescue service. It is modern tooling with a richly detailed surface.

The real subject

The Airbus H145 is a modern multipurpose helicopter with a pair of turboshaft engines and a shrouded fenestron tail rotor, which reduces noise and increases safety near the ground. Thanks to its roomy cabin and its performance it is popular in air rescue work. ADAC, the German automobile club, operates an extensive fleet of yellow rescue helicopters that are easily recognized in Germany. The machine serves to transport doctors and patients quickly and to reach hard-to-access terrain.

Building and painting tips

A large scale rewards care: glue the cockpit glazing with a clear adhesive and mask it before spraying. It pays to paint the interior and the medical equipment of the cabin before the fuselage is closed up. The basis is the bold ADAC signal yellow (red and white on the Swiss version) - lay it on over a light primer in thin coats for the sake of coverage. A gloss coat goes under the decals, and a matte one then evens the surface out. Keep the weathering restrained - modern rescue machines tend to be well kept, and a hint of soot at the exhausts and fine dust is enough.

Who the model is for

  • Anyone interested in modern civilian and rescue aircraft
  • Collectors of helicopters in the large 1:32 scale
  • Modelers who want a striking display piece
  • Fans of the air rescue services

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
