A large injection-molded plastic kit of the Grumman F8F-1B Bearcat carrier fighter in 1:32 scale from Trumpeter. The model offers a richly detailed surface, a detailed cockpit and a radial engine; the package usually holds clear canopy parts and etched elements, for instance belts and the instrument panel.
The Grumman F8F Bearcat was an American carrier fighter designed at the close of the Second World War as a light, high-performance successor to the Hellcat. It was marked by a radial engine, an excellent rate of climb and agility. The F8F-1B version was armed with four 20mm cannons. The Bearcat did not manage to see combat in the Second World War, but it was operated by the American and foreign air arms in the postwar years.
We recommend finishing and painting the cockpit and the engine first, and only then closing up the fuselage. Glue the clear parts with a cement intended for transparent plastics. For a faithful glossy naval finish lay down primer, spray the paints with an airbrush and use gloss varnish under the decals. Emphasize the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
