Wheels for the MiG-21, late type, 1:32 from Plusmodel: a cast replacement for the landing gear wheels. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of landing gear wheels for a model of the Soviet MiG-21 fighter in 1:32 scale, in the late form. Cast wheels are bought for aircraft models above all for two things: the tread pattern is legible over the whole surface, and the tire tends to be cast with a settling under its own weight, so that a parked aircraft does not look as though it were floating. It is not an aircraft kit but a replacement for parts.
The MiG-21 was a Soviet supersonic fighter with a characteristic delta wing and a circular air intake in the nose. It was built in enormous numbers and in many versions that differed not only in armament and equipment but also in small points of the landing gear. That is exactly why with wheels it matters to know whether you are building an early or a late version: the wheels changed during production and a mix-up shows on the finished model.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water so that traces of mold release agent disappear. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw and level the mark; sand with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate. Do not paint the tire black: aged rubber is more of a dark gray. Leave the hub in the color it really had and pick the transition between hub and tire out with a thin dark line.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted and it is an accessory, not a kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
