1:33 Avro 683 Lancaster B Mk.I is a paper (card) kit of a British heavy bomber. It is not a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Note, this is not a plastic kit but a paper model. The parts are cut out of printed sheets and glued with paper glue, and the result is a model that is not painted, because the colors are already printed on. The 1:33 scale is traditional for paper models, so the finished bomber has a wingspan of over ninety centimeters and it is a large build. Neither the number of sheets nor the number of parts is stated, so they are not given here.
The Avro Lancaster was the main British heavy bomber of the Second World War. It came about through the reworking of an unsuccessful twin-engined type into a four-engined machine, and that gave it a very roomy bomb bay able to carry even the heaviest British bombs. The B Mk.I version had Rolls-Royce Merlin engines and was the most numerous. Lancasters flew mostly at night, in deep formations and without escort, and are among the best-known machines of British bomber aviation.
A paper model needs different tools from a plastic one: a sharp scalpel, a metal ruler, paper glue and above all patience in bending and shaping. Score the parts beforehand with a blunt edge, so that the fold forms exactly on the line. The fuselage and the wing are usually built on an inner frame of stiffer card, which has to be made accurately, otherwise the surfaces will ripple. Color over the cut edges with a marker or a colored pencil in the shade of the print, because the white edge of the paper is the most visible thing on a finished model.
The model is supplied as printed sheets. Glue, tools and the inner frame are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
