Responsibility details are not available.
A 3D-printed resin set of German standard jerrycans in 1:35 scale from GINGER CAT, in the form with the MIAG 1944 mark. The manufacturer gives ten pieces in the package. The jerrycans are fixed to the hull, the fenders or the brackets of a finished model, and they serve equally well as a scenic accessory in a diorama. For this set the manufacturer gives the year 1944, so it suits vehicles from the end of the war.
Late wartime production showed on the jerrycans: the sheet metal tended to be coarser, the painting quicker and more careless, and the containers were often used for longer than was good for them. On a model set in 1944 or 1945 it is therefore logical to scuff and dirty the jerrycans rather than leave them as new. At the same time, vehicles at the end of the war carried more containers than at the beginning, because supply was uncertain and fuel was gathered wherever it could be.
3D-printed parts are small and brittle: separate them with a fine-tooth saw or with nippers and level the remains of the print supports with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); solvent cement for plastic does not hold. Before painting, spray a thin coat of primer, as a heavy coat would drown the detail.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
