Jerrycans on the side of an armored car are not decoration: without them the heavy eight-wheeled reconnaissance car would not have got far. That is precisely why a model looks incomplete without them. This set brings the jerrycans together with the brackets they are secured in, in the shape that matches the cars of the Sd.Kfz. 234 family. The parts are made by 3D printing technology, so they have crisp pressed edges and legible caps. It is an accessory to a model, not a vehicle kit.
The Sd.Kfz. 234 is a German heavy armored car with eight wheels and a good range, intended for long-range reconnaissance. It arose in several versions differing in armament, from an autocannon in a turret to a short howitzer in an open fighting compartment. Extra fuel in jerrycans extended its radius of action, so in period photographs the jerrycans tend to be on the sides and at the rear.
Cut the parts off the support structures with a sharp scalpel and level the surfaces with a fine file; sand with respiratory protection. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate, that is with super glue. Do not paint all the jerrycans the same: in practice they were obtained wherever possible, so different shades and different degrees of wear look more believable than a uniform row. Bring out the cap and the handles with a dark seeping wash.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
